Hair loss is a regular health condition that affects both men and women. Frequent hair loss leads to balding. Hair loss can be due to various factors. Exposure to harmful pollutants, improper hair care, diet all of which contribute to hair loss. Hair loss can be attributed to various genetic factors and hormonal imbalances in the body.

Herbs for Hair Growth :

Rosemary :
This herb has different uses and is frequently associated with hair growth. Used since time immemorial, rosemary helps fight dandruff and makes hair shinier and healthier by strengthening weak hair follicles. Rosemary can be used directly as a diet supplement, as tea and even in food.You can also get your hair rinsed by simmering a few leaves in hot water.

Henna :
Henna is one of the commonly used herbs for hair growth in women. It has been used throughout the centuries and is said to stimulate hair growth and prevent female hair loss. It is also used for hair dyeing and is a natural alternative for commercial hair colors.

Green Tea :
Green tea is also said to have properties that can promote hair growth in women. Consumption of green tea helps in reducing the levels of testosterone in the blood stream of women, thereby reducing the rate of hair fall. So, it is considered as one of the herbal remedies for hair loss.

Ginseng :
It is a traditional herb used in Asian countries. It is highly beneficial for hair growth as it stimulates metabolism and improves blood circulation. It nourishes and strengthens the hair. This is found to be very effective in helping hair growth. There is no evidence to back that it prevents hair loss.

Horsetail :
Horsetail is rich in silica, which can help hair become stronger and less likely to break or fall out. It also makes hair look healthier. To use, create a tea with horsetail and a half cup of hot water. Add to a mild shampoo and wash your hair as usual. Rinse well.
